Beauty Blog. Top tips for Winter Skin

Written by Helen on

Winter is upon us and no part of your body suffers more than your face.

To combat the harsh effects of wintry conditions, it is worth revamping your beauty routine now - I can help you can do this easily and quickly.

With proper care, you can keep your face looking and feeling soft, supple and simply gorgeous.  You are never too old or too young to do this.

Establishing a good cleansing routine based on your skin type is essential to maintaining a healthy complexion.  It is worth having both a morning and evening cleanse.  The evening is obvious - to remove old make-up and the dirt and grime that collects on the skin throughout the day, you certainly don't want to sleep with this on!  The morning is not so obvious until you realise that your skin has worked all night throwing out more dirt ..... it fascinates me at how 'murky' my morning after-cleanse cotton wool looks!

It is worth adopting the 3-step idea of cleanse, tone and moisturise.  These 3 steps each have a different purpose and work synergistically together, helping your skin to look healthy.  My clients usually find that they spend less in the long run, because they now need less of each product - sounds weird, but it's true!  It is also the reason that I like to work with clients to show them how little of each product to use and how to use them correctly - this personal service that I offer for free really 'pays off'.

Dead skin cells seem to accumulate quickly in the winter, so gentle facial exfoliation once or twice a week will help combat this build-up leaving your face healthy and glowing.

Follow these simple steps and you will quickly see the difference.
